Day 1: Pergamon

 

You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul early in the morning and transferred to the airport to catch a flight to Izmir. Upon arrival in Izmir you will be picked up from the airport and then depart for Pergamon. Today you’ll have a chance to see Acropol, the site of the Altar of Zeus (in Berlin), the birthplace of books & one of the most famous libraries of history; Visit the ancient hospital & health centre where Asclepion worked; Red hall, one of the largest buildings in antiquity, dedicated to the Egyptian goddesses Serapis & Isis. Overnight in Kusadasi/Selcuk.

Day 2: Ephesus

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. Today will be a fully guided tour of Ephesus.  Ephesus is one of the best preserved classical city of the Eastern Mediterranean dated back to 2000 years BC. We will walk along the sacred marble street connecting the Great Theater with the library of Celsius. We will see the Commercial Agora and walk along the marble Curetes Street which has beautiful mosaics paved on sidewalks, explore the gymnasium, visit temple of Hadrian.  The tour of the ruins also includes a theatre, gymnasium, agora and baths, as well as the Library of Celsus, the Virgin Mary’s House and the Temple of Artemis. After the tour transfer to airport for flight back and upon your arrival you’ll be transfered to hotel in Istanbul.
