It was marvelous. We went to Safranbolu, Ankara , Goreme et al, Konya , Pamukkale, Selchuk, Assos, Tekirdag in eight days. Cengiz was fantastic; an excellent driver, conservative but made good time. He is superb at finding the good boutiqe hotels which make the trip unique and he is equally good at finding the good kebap restaurants in the many small towns where you need to stop for lunch. You know how congenial a companion he is, he was our driver, guide and full member of our party. The vehicle was very comfortable. It would seat 7; three on each seat in the back and one upfront with Cengiz. We had five which was a little more comfortable and left more room for luggage which as you know tends to grow as one travels across Turkey . We would like to come for the 45th, but need to go to Phoenix for a nephews wedding earlier in the month so will have to see.

We were delighted with the travel arrangements! Everything went very smoothly especially the transfers, tickets and tours - so we were able to relax in complete confidence with all the arrangements. We were particularly impressed with our tour guide on the second day (I'm afraid I can't remember his name) who took us to the Fairy chimneys, the terracotta factory, etc and added a quick tour to a winery at our request. Both hotels were comfortable and clean - although there seemed to be water issues in the second one (the shower was freezing and the toilet flushed intermittently) - but overall we were veryimpressed by the friendly hospitality we were shown everywhere. It was a stunning trip and I look forwards to coming back to your very beautiful and friendly country soon - and I'll definitely travel with Barefoot again.

You can't go wrong with Barefoot Travel. We were in Istanbul for over a week and Barefoot was terrific in arranging our trip to Ephesus and providing a tour guide in the city itself. They were very attentive to our needs, met with us to plan the itinerary, and everything was just splendid. Without their help we would not have been able to see everything we wanted during the week we were there. Having your own tour guide is the best way to go--lots of great information but we also had the leisure time to explore each of the sites on our own. Hello Cengiz, Just wanted you to know that we had great time in Istanbul. We loved your country and Hussian did an fine job of taking care of us while we were there. We were a little cenderned at first, but found out the location of the apartments were so good, that we could walk anywhere we wanted to go and all the people in the area where so friendly. I honestly must say that we Americans are very spoiled at having so much of everything we want like good cold water that is very clean all the time, traffic that is not so bad most of the time, and a very safe enironment as well. Although we felt perfectly safe in Istanbul all the time. You have a beautiful country and we had a great time. Your people where on time all the time and that made it very nice for us not to worry about anything at all.
